About Perennial Passions

I can still recall visiting my grandmother’s home when I was small. Upon arrival, I ran through her house, straight into her backyard. I just had to find out what was in bloom, what smelled the sweetest, and best of all, what I could pick to take home to my mother. I never got tired of the mysteries and fantasies that overcame me as I played "make believe" in my grandmother’s garden. Without a doubt, my passion and my love of the garden grew from the heart of that very special woman.

Eventually I entered the world of flower design and plant sales. And for 20 years I dreamed about and planned my garden in my heart. Once I established my own garden, friends began to visit and reflect on my efforts. And now I pass the passion onto them. I love sharing my experience, which includes lessons learned from both failures and glorious victories!

Over the past several years many people have urged me to start my own business, since in addition to tending my own passion, I enjoy helping others with their gardening efforts. I just love to ignite that fire in a potential gardener!

As my passion for gardening grew, I naturally reached a point where I was no longer content to simply purchase annuals for instant gratification. I craved the mystery and anticipation of nurturing plants that spring forth from the earth. The obvious discovery of perennials then widened my world to the year around enjoyment of gardening.

As a result, Perennial Passions was born. My goal is to help others fulfill their gardening dreams-whether it be helping them develop a full blown passion, such as mine, or simply designing and creating a garden space that requires minimal maintenance for their enjoyment. My years of experience combined with my passion for gardening ensures I am capable to help others fabricate a garden that best suits their personal lifestyle. After all, there should be no place more relaxing than one’s own home and the beauty that surrounds it.
